SellBuyText is not responsible for the accuracy or legitimacy of the advertisements posted to this site, however we do take scams reported to SellBuyText seriously and will remove any post shown to be irresponsible or illegal in nature, and further access to the website denied.
SellBuyText encourages Buyers and Sellers to do their research and be aware of current selling prices, product claims, product recalls and reported defects, and to exercise caution where product description appears exaggerated or priced far below actual market value. Do not respond to requests for additional personal information unnecessary to the transaction, except where proof of age is required by law. If the Seller's behaviour or attitude seems odd or suspicious let them know you would like time to consider the purchase and you will get back to them at a later date or time.

Sellers

You will be inviting complete strangers to your property to view items, use caution.

Sellers should have another person present when showing an item, they will act as witness and personal security.

Never leave your home unlocked or unattended while showing an item outside the home.

When showing a vehicle

Do not let the prospective buyer test drive a vehicle on their own.

Do not let a prospective buyer test drive the vehicle without proper insurance coverage.

Do not sell a vehicle to anyone not of legal age or without parental consent.

It is required by law to disclose all repairs to accidental damage over $1000, knowledgeable withholding of this information makes the Seller liable.
